Military To Announce “Pre-arranged" Rescue Of Chibok Girls

With 4 days to the presidential election, the military authorities are under pressure to announce a dramatic but false rescue of the Chibok girls as a means of boosting President Jonathan’s chances in the coming poll.

According to the Newswire service, President Jonathan who faces a stiff opposition in Saturday’s election against his APC contender, General Muhammadu Buhari, sees the “pre-arranged” release of the kidnapped schoolgirls as the jackpot that may help him clinch a decisive victory on Saturday.
Citing sources close to the military, Newswire reported that there is rumour in military circles that sometimes during the week, the military may announce the release of the girls.
There are also indications that parents of the girls located in Borno, Kano and Kaduna states have been notified that they should be prepared to identify their children and wards sometimes this week. It is in fact believed that the parents might be asked to report in Abuja to facilitate the identification of the girls.
It was also reported that the PDP who has fallen short of a convincing strategy to secure a win on Saturday are also considering that the Federal Government announce a salary increase sometime this week as another measure to build a political momentum for the PDP in the presidential and national polls.
Newswire notes that several Federal Government agencies were already behind in the payment of workers’ salaries.

The PDP is said to be unsure how the elections would end up on Saturday because of the refusal of Attahiru Jega, the chairman of Nigeria’s electoral commission,to bow to the party’s alleged plot to rig the coming elections.
